And if he doesn't someone else will create them for him“

Based on actual witness testimony of a witch-trial during a Blåkulla-incident in Sweden 1670, where children were supposedly taken from their beds and flown on to a mountain where they met the Devil and celebrated in an evil feast, a Sabbath.

Hail Yourself
03:28
|
|||
LYRICS:
Worship nature
From earth to earth and dust to dust - the final words.
Holds the key to the ultimate truth of our fragile existence.
Chronological lifeline from the birth into the grave
A predefined rank in food chain keeps your arrogance restrained
Symbiosis between every living cell on this planet
Is crucial for our own insignificant survival
Chronological path towards the inevitable death
It's present, bloody, stenching and utterly the end
A predefined rank in food chain keeps your arrogance restrained
Hail yourself
Worship nature
----------------------------------------
"My hate is general, I detest all men;
Some because they are wicked and do evil,
Others because they tolerate the wicked,
Refusing them the active vigorous scorn
Which vice should stimulate in virtuous minds.
Molière, in The Misanthrope (1666)
I am misanthropos, and hate mankind
For thy part, I do wish thou wert a dog
That I might love thee something."
- William Shakespeare, in Timon of Athens, Act IV, Scene III, Timon to Alcibiades (1623)

Pagan Saviour
04:33
|
|||
LYRICS:
I am the infinity, I am the light
I am the witch, the sorcerer
Worship the sun
The devil and the wizard, Clairvoyant, magician
I'm everything but the obedient or the slave
A strong and wise female is your greatest fear
Opposing your Christian hordes, enemy of a male dominion
Pagan saviour, bringer of the ancient legacy
Usurper, succubus, bow to the Queen of heresy
All the lies about the apple and the snake, Stories of a holy martyr are man-made
Fairytales of Adam and Eve are totally fake, The doctrine of lies, Christ never came
Pagan saviour, bringer of the ancient legacy
Usurper, succubus, (bow to) the Queen of heresy
Mortals outlive the divine
----------------------------------------------------
The whole concept of witchcraft was invented by the authorities to describe various unpleasant acts, of which many of them had absolutely nothing to do with actual devil worship, rather than being originally from the gray area of between white magic and primitive medical science.

All Them Witches
04:41
|
|||
LYRICS:
Full of fear as you walk in the night
The darkness holds you in its cold embrace.
The dusk swallows a light of the day
All the good is replaced by evil.
The dreamworld and the sounds of the dark
are beyond of your comprehension.
And all them witches fly through the night
The spell is upon the burden of your soul, not mine
Carried away, dreaming while awake
Seeing nightly fantasies of abnormalities.
So absurd and dumb to believe that
these delusions are for true.
Born in the minds of dull women
and from weak faith of simple men.
And all them witches fly through the night
The spell is upon the burden of your soul, not mine
Spell on the burden of soul
-----------------------------------------------------------------
In 17th century people were afraid of the dark. It was unknown and scary: all light vanished into the night where beasts were awaiting their prey, thieves and robbers stalked their victims, fairies and trolls were lurking in the shadows, witches, Devil worshippers and blasphemers were having their blood ceremonies. Darkness was cruel, fierce and merciless.

Instrumental.
ABOUT THIS TRACK:
Unfortunately, the writing and recording of the album was shadowed by the untimely passing of our beloved friend and band driver / merch man Tommi Laitinen (of Junktone fame), in March 2019. This event added extra gloom to the album. We decided to pay homage to a deceased friend by including "313" - a song written and performed by Tommi - which is heard on the album as a telephone recording of Tommi himself. The accompanying words in the message were "will you find some use for this ditty?" Well, we did.

Gods Of War
04:50
|
|||
LYRICS:
For a noble cause we burn the cross
Anglo-Saxon Crusade by the Grace Of God,
Condemn the pagan kings and their false idols.
Shieldmaiden warrior valkyrie in battlefield,
Ancient Gods of war and death gave belief.
Fear! Fear the men of the North
Fight! Fight against the Christian hordes
Call! Now call them ships ashore
Repent! Repent like never before
For a noble cause we burn the cross
Defenders of the Throne shepherd the weak
A command from the Crown, crusaders bleed.
Upon your burning body vermins will breed,
By your rotting carcass rats will feast.
Fear! Fear the men of the North
Fight! Fight against the Christian hordes
Call! Now call them ships ashore
Repent! Repent like never before
*“Kyllä korppi koota sopi, ilman lintuset lihaksi”
Fight!
For a noble cause we burn the cross

Without the clergymen nobody would talk about the Devil. The Devil as we know it exists only in Christianity. Pagans do not have a Devil - they have Spirits which were good or bad according to how one lived and got along with them.
*An old fearful witch-song from Finland
Inspired by the “Vikings” TV-series written by Michael Hirst for the History channel.

The Reverend
03:40
|
|||
LYRICS:
The Church;
The Reverend in fear and his Clergy are ensnared in misogyny:
* "Witchcraft is about a lust of flesh in which women are insatiable".
Beware of their magical spell, they know the death is not the end.
Their Father and his Son and the Holy Ghost are all a lie.
The Witch;
Unholy martyr has abandoned me, Mother Nature I summon thee.
Astronomical knowledge, legacy from the elders.
This fire will keep it alive in its smoldering embers.
Their Father and his Son and the Holy Ghost are all a lie.
Burn, burn, burn, burn!
Their Father and his Son and the Holy Ghost are all a lie.
Father. Son. Holy Ghost - Lies.

*Malleus Maleficarum, Heinrich Kramer, Jakob Sprenger, 1486.
Priests were aiming to raise a repentance among the believers. The clergymen thought that only they were obligated to teach and guide. The common people must be taught the difference between a good and bad, the virtue and the sin, in order to save them from damnation or they will end up in Hell after death.

Firebride
04:44
|
|||
LYRICS:
The stars guard my secrets, My spawn will embrace my teachings
Knowledge passed on, occultic and mystic reborn
Chanting and singing the prophecy, Magical foreseen of things to be
Reliable healer in community, Bloodline of witching majesty
Owls whisper my name, Crows carry me in to my grave
I will never see the light behind your Christian lies.
I refuse to hail your god, Redemption is not mine.
I won't submit to your laws, they are built on the wrong cause.
I will never see the light, I am the firebride.
State church was frightened, Their power felt threatened
The fear of lost control meant to prepare for war
Wolves walk by my side, this fire will keep me alive
I will never see the light behind your Christian lies
I refuse to hail your god, Redemption is not mine.
I won't submit to your laws, they are built on the wrong cause.
I will never see the light, I am the firebride.
*"I have confessed again and again, you can't have anything more out of me.
I have forgiven to those who have accused me of this witchcraft."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*A trial quote of Margreta Mårtinsdotter. Accused of witchcraft and convicted to death in Åland, Sweden-Finland, 1666.

For The Dead Travel Fast

|||
LYRICS:
Fall into a sleep paralysis, mind-travel
Nocturnal visionary experience
Journey to leave your body behind
By magic believe in the sacred task.
Deus, Non Serviam
A healer among the animals and the spirits
Goddess figure is praised; The Abbess
The defender of the harvests and the crops
The protector of the fertility of the fields
Deus, Non Serviam
Fly high through blackened sky
For the dead travel fast
Troops of flying evil witches
Imitating rites by magical feast
Rituals in ancient mythology
Strengthen a reborning might and lust

For the dead travel fast

1692 in Jürgensburg, Livonia, an area near the Baltic Sea, an old man named Theiss was tried for being a werewolf; his defense was that his spirit (and that of others) transformed into werewolves in order to fight demons and prevent them from stealing grain from the village. *Ginzburg has shown that his arguments, and his denial of belonging to a Satanic cult, corresponded to those used by the benandanti witches.
